Dr. Ira S. Niedweske DVM
Dr. Niedweske is a resident of Edison and was born and raised in Westfield. He graduated from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pa. in 1974 with A Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He then went on to the Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1977 with a DVM Degree and a Master of Science degree in reproductive physiology. Dr. Niedweske is the past president of the Metropolitan NJ Veterinary Medical Association. He has also been the Small Animal Chairman of Continuing Education for the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association’s annual meeting, the Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference and the Metropolitan NJ Veterinary Medical Association’s many meetings. Dr. Niedweske is currently the president of the Central Jersey Veterinary Emergency Service and is serving on the Governor’s Committee for Animal Welfare Reform. He has also received an Outstanding Service Award from the Union County Freeholders for his work with the Union County Sheriff’s Canine Unit. Dr. Niedweske's interests include soft tissue and orthopedics, and avian and exotic medicine.
Dr. Barry M. Adler DVM
Dr. Adler is a resident of Woodbridge Township and has lived and or worked here most of his life. He graduated Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science in 1972. He graduated from the Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977 and also received a Master of Science degree in reproductive physiology. In 1978, he and Dr. Ira Niedweske, a veterinary school classmate, opened the Iselin Veterinary Hospital. They then started the Woodbridge Veterinary Group in 1982. Dr. Adler has served as the secretary of the Metropolitan NJ Veterinary Medical Association, the president of the Central Jersey Veterinary Emergency Service and as co-chairman of the continuing education programs for the Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference. He presently serves on the Governor’s Veterinary Medical Education Advisory Committee and is the chairperson of the legislative committee of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Adler has received the Veterinarian of the Year award from the Metropolitan NJ Veterinary Medical Association and an Outstanding Service Award from the Freeholders of Essex County for the work done with the Turtle Back Zoo. Dr. Adler is past president of the NJVMA, and his interests include soft tissue & orthopedics, and avian medicine.
Dr. Marjorie O'Neill DVM
Dr. O'Neill was born and raised in Connecticut. She attended Quinnipiac University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Animal Sciences. She graduated from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and soon joined out hospital as a staff Veterinarian. Presently, Dr. O'Neill is a trustee of the New Jersey State Museum of Agriculture, and is the veterinary coordinator for the Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management. Dr. O'Neill's special interests are feline medicine, emergency medicine, and exotic medicine and surgery.
Dr. Steve F. Lewis DVM
Dr. Lewis is from Caldwell, NJ. He graduated from Rutgers University, Cook College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. Dr. Lewis graduated from Tufts University, College of Veterinary medicine in 2003. He then completed a small animal medical and surgical internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, Connecticut. Dr. Lewis joined our hospital as staff veterinarian in 2004. Presently, he is deputy Middlesex County Veterinary Coordinator for the Office of Emergency Management. His special interests include ultrasonagraphy and diagnostic procedures.
Dr. Amy Stoltenberg DVM
Dr. Amy Stoltenberg grew up in Edison, NJ. She received her B.A. In Biology from Rutgers University and her D.V.M. degree from Tuskegee University Dr. Stoltenberg lives in Edison with her dogs Billy and Cookie and her cat Stitch. Her interests are in Internal Medicine and Ultrasound.
Dr. Michelle Roche DVM
Dr. Roche is a NJ native, originally from Freehold. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Drew University in 2005 with a major in Biology and double minor in Biochemistry and Music. She then earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Roche’s special interests include general surgery, pain management, and all things canine.
